Silver is money

This website can help you estimate the value of silver pieces and may be of use to people using silver as a medium of exchange.

If using silver, be very specific. Even ask to see the silver pieces to be sure there is no misunderstanding. You may offer to shovel a driveway for “two silver dollars” and have an idiot try to pay you with non-silver Eisenhower dollars. Many people by force of habit use the word “silver” to describe coins containing no silver, or you may expect 90% silver half dollars (1964 and earlier) only to have the customer tender 40% silver coins (1965 through 1970).

Use this website at your own risk, as there is no warranty.
